When we talk about slavery, the first  thing that comes in our mind is that it is a state in which a person is tied with chains. He is not allowed to move and his master takes works from him. But, this is just a type of slavery. A common  man has to deal with many types of slaveries through out his life.
The most hazardous type of slavery which the human beings are facing is mental slavery.Every human being, suffering from mental slavery, lives a life which is full of hallucination and illusions.

Mental slavery causes us to believe in things that are not real and defend things that we never choose by will. We are made to obey or else we face cconsequences.
A child At the time of his birth,is free from all kinds of chains. He knows nothing  about traditions, about social norms and about religions etc.He is born to live  his life with his own experiences. But unfortunately after the birth of a child, we decide his name, religion, caste etc and then through out his life he defends a  fictional character, that he never chose by will.
Mental slavery is worst than physical slavery. Because, a person suffering from physical slavery acknowledges that he is a slave and he is not living a delusive life, but a person suffering from mental slavery , lives  a life where he deceives himself by ignoring his slavery. This is a state of mind where a slave loves his master, accepts all his commands and is very much obedient. He is tied with invisible chains and if any other person wants to make him free, then he may become hostile to that person as he has been loving his invisible chains.

Obedience has always been praised  by many cultures as one of the important moral values a person can possess. But, obedience when crosses its limits, then the person cant even decide for himself. He has to be obedient and accept everything that he has been asked to accept. This is a state where an obedient is loving his slavery, just because he doesn't want to face any critics and the greed for getting praised makes him an obedient to such an extent that obedience is transformed into a state, not less than slavery.
There is a difference  between a machine and a human. Machine takes commands and then works accordingly. Humans have the ability  to think for themselves,to choose for themselves. Then why our society loves obedient people and hates those who become rebel against the rotten norms prevailing in our society ?
If a person wants to spend a life according to his own will and wants to fulfil his dreams, and not harming anyone but if fails, only he will be responsible, then why he is not allowed  to do so but is asked to stay obedient and live according to the norms set by family and society.
Mostly, free thinkers are hated by society and they face hostilities  because they are not obedient to the rotten traditions. The traditions which limit the creativity and progress of humans. But they are the people(free thinkers), who break the Invisible chains which they were once tied with.
